Gardens & Textiles
Tour 3, available 16th - 21st May 2010 and 4th - 9th July 2010
A five night tour with practical workshops taking inspiration from the textiles and gardens of East Cheshire. A full day and two half day workshops are included when we focus on design from the inspiration gained during our daily excursions.
We visit a private garden themed around the Pilgrims Progress; take a behind the scenes look at textiles with the Collections Manager at Tatton Park and meet with the head gardener; study pattern and research the archives at Macclesfield Silk Museum; visit a private studio to work; take inspiration from Hare Hill, National Trust Garden and much more. We will be guided by textile tutor Stacey Harvey-Brown who will work with us during our tour.
